One of the jewels of Provincetown, the West End Racing Club, at 81 Commercial Street , is a non-profit organization that has been teaching children to swim and sail for the past 44 years. For a nominal fee your child (ages 8 to 14) can attend classes from the beginning of July to just before Labor Day. The Club is attended predominantly by locals but if you're visiting you can bring your child for a week or a month (if the rosters aren't full). There's no phone, so stop by when the program is running, weekdays 9:00 am - Noon, or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
