Provincetown Favorite Places: Re-Rooters Day Ceremony on the East End Beach

Re-rooters

In a post-pagan winter ritual, Re-rooters follow Jay Critchley to the water's edge, where a used Christmas tree is strewn with notes and messages to be let go in a sacrifice where the tree is set afire and released into Provincetown Harbor at the East End, to signify the end of the old year.
