Rocks

Edith Henrique Codinha

Aptly named because when baked, these cookies are as hard as rocks. They are excellent for dipping in coffee or wine.

1 cup butter

11/2 cups brown sugar

1 cup walnuts

1 cup raisins

3 eggs

3 cups flour

Extra flour

Cream the butter with the sugar. Beat in the eggs and mix thoroughly. Stir in the flour, walnuts and raisins. Form into walnut sized balls. Flour your hands and roll the rocks lightly in the extra flour and bake in a 350° oven for 20 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen.
