Sherried Cookies

Biscoitos de Vinho Branco

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup sugar

2 egg yolks, beaten

1 cup chopped almonds

1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind

1/2 tsp. almond or anise flavoring

1/2 cup sweet sherry

1 cup flour

1/2 tsp. salt

 

Mix all the ingredients together and drop by the teaspoonful on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.

Makes 3 dozen.
